Mr. Rothenberg has constructed one marvelous and unique condominium building Le Sanctuaire in Highland Beach, Florida.  It was my privilege to purchase the third floor apartment and, some thirteen years later, it remains the work of art it was originally.  The entire building reflects the soul of Mr. Rothenberg who is personally, and deeply so, involved with everything he creates.

The work done is creative and more.  The Rothenberg company is pro-active in every way, proud to the very end.  He and his coworkers are incredibly attentive to detail, all of which is always first class.

All work is done timely and on schedule but without any sacrifice of quality.

I have always found Mr. Rothenberg true to his word, and the cost factors of every bid are scrupulously honored without condition or qualification.  I found at times that Ellemar was more apt to upgrade what was required without any additional charge to the homeowner.  That is the mark of a proud and qualitative builder.

Re: Experience with Ellemar’s Chinese Drywall Remediation

We have been completely satisfied with Ellemar’s drywall remediation.  Mark coordinated all aspects of the remediation: disassembly, reconstruction and refinishing.  He also made modest modifications and repairs to the interior and exterior.  Mark has an excellent team and only utilizes the best subcontractors.  The subcontractors appreciate Mark’s integrity and perform to his exacting standards.  He also has an excellent reputation with the City of Parkland.

Most simply stated, Mark made every commitment during the whole process.  He completed the project nearly one month ahead of schedule, on budget and gave us a better home than we had before.  Not only did Mark help us design the enhancements we wanted, but found other opportunities to improve our home.

Drywall remediation is more difficult technically and emotionally than constructing a new home or remodeling.  The homeowner needs to trust the contractor to painstaking disassemble and reconstructed it to more exact specifications; not only so the disassembled pieces can be replaced, but so the home owner retains the features and look-and-feel he enjoys in the current home.

For us, trust and communication were even more important, because we were away during most of the project.  Mark kept us informed through calls and photos, so we were comfortable about the progress and made informed decisions around recommendations.

Mark listened carefully to our needs, which included adding a mudroom.  As he started the construction, he had doubts about our concept, thoughtfully created a different solution and communicated an alternative.  His solution better meets our needs and maintains the home esthetics.  Mark has an eye for minor enhancements, such as changing air ducts, lighting, and decorative finishes that improve functionality and add beauty.

Finally, following the protocol and City cooperation is critical.  Mark cuts no corners, so the home will be redone exactly to specifications and his strong reputation helps maintain schedule.

While Mark’s bid was slightly higher; the timely execution, piece of mind, expert craftsmanship, and higher quality results far exceeds the difference.   Mark has earned our trust and we would gladly further discuss our experience and show his craftsmanship upon request.

We are writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for everything that you did in connection with our joint venture project on Stonegate Boulevard in Parkland Golf & Country Club.  Although we originally hired you to build a single home for us, you exceeded our every expectation, spurring us to build two additional homes with you in a joint venture arrangement.

Dear Mark,

I want to formerly thank you for the job you did on my home. You took an exasperating, frustrating, even frightening experience and simplified the task and took all the burden. You were a pleasure to work with. Any problem or issue I was concerned about was handled by you and your staff without question. It was always apparent that my satisfaction was your ultimate goal.

Since I had to move out of my house, which was no easy task due to the Chinese drywall fiasco, I wanted to make sure the general contractor I selected was the right company for the job. I needed to know he would do his research to make sure the house was reconstructed properly. This was a very large expense for me. I needed to know I would be returning to a worry-free home.

Looking back on all this now, I know I made the right decision. I actually knew this all along. You made sure the materials used were better than what was used the first time. You installed base and crown molding far superior to what I had received from the original builder. My new air conditioning units and thermostats are working great. My FPL bill is lower than it was last summer! You more or less “held my hand” so to speak through this ordeal. I know you took care of my home as though it were your own. You were knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful and Johnny on the spot when needed.

So thank you Mark and everyone else at Ellemar. I will highly recommend you to anyone looking for a general contractor.

What an incredible job you did on our recent projects.  I know that you know I was reluctant to modify your original construction at Le Sanctuaire as it was so esthetically beautiful.  However, as you pointed out to me, a  lot has changed over the last ten years and you could update both the functionality and the styling with some of the newer materials that were not available ten years ago.  I couldn’t have been more pleased.  Not only did you design and build with sensitivity for the existing structure as well as the surrounding area, but you did so at such a reasonable cost that I was amazed.

I guess I should not be surprised that you maintained the same level of aesthetics, integrity and cost control as you have done in our other projects.
